As of September 1, 2022, Peuterspeelzaal Blaricum merges with Stichting Kinderopvang Huizen. Two locally oriented organizations joining hands.
This merger is a logical choice for Peuterspeelzaal Blaricum (PSB). PSB is a small-scale preschool, with an all-volunteer parent board. In recent years, it has become increasingly difficult to meet the increasing workload in a timely manner due to constantly changing laws and regulations aimed at quality and safe child care. As a result, PSB’s future viability was at risk.
For this reason, the PSB board decided last year to look for a merger candidate. One in which the authentic character of PSB, as well as the quality of child care would remain safeguarded.
“In our search for a suitable partner, Stichting Kinderopvang Huizen (SKH) was chosen. SKH, as a locally oriented, medium-sized, non-profit child care organization, is a good fit for us. Moreover, in the past two years we have already purchased services from SKH in the area of pedagogical policy and pedagogical coaching, and are therefore familiar with each other“, said Maurits Aberson of the preschool board. The board of PSB is confident that a sustainable continuation of the preschool – as we have known it for years – will be guaranteed in this way.
Meanwhile, all staff and parents have been informed.
For Kinderopvang Huizen, the acquisition of Peuterspeelzaal Blaricum means an expansion of its offerings in Blaricum, in addition to the already existing locations in Blaricum Bijvanck. Through the merger with PSB, Kinderopvang Huizen will soon offer preschool care at 12 locations in the region.
“We extend a warm welcome to the children, parents and staff of Peuterspeelzaal Blaricum!” said Executive Director Irene van den Haak.
