What does that mean for child care costs?
On instructions from the Cabinet, we request that the child care bill be paid as usual. The child care subsidy continues and the government on Friday, March 20, said it will also compensate parents’ co-payments for the period March 16 to April 28, 2020.

At this time it is not clear to us how the compensation is to be settled in due course. We are still waiting for detailed instructions on this from the government.

“Should the situation unexpectedly last longer, this option could be extended by several weeks, for example,” said State Secretary Van Ark.
