Last Tuesday, the government announced the relaxation of quarantine guidelines for children in day care and schools. Children no longer need to be quarantined after close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
Only children with symptoms and/or a positive test result will stay home.

In addition, the rule remains in effect that children who test positive must be symptom-free for 24 hours after the quarantine period before they may return to daycare and/or school.

It is also recommended that children who have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive have regular self-tests.

Many employees quarantined
We are also currently experiencing many corona infections among our employees.
They must then be quarantined. You understand that this puts an enormous strain on the staffing of our organization.

We make every effort every day to complete staffing for all locations to avoid group closures and ensure continuity of care for children. Possibly sometimes even by merging groups, with parental consent. In the unlikely event that this ultimately does not work out and we are forced to close a group, those involved will be informed immediately.

The following remains in effect:

  • For children with (mild) complaints;
    • Children aged 0-4 may come to daycare, but are advised to (self-)test;
    • Children 4-12 with (mild) symptoms stay home and take a (self) test.
  • If a child tests positive, even then child stays home and goes into quarantine.
