Last Saturday, Dec. 18, it was decided by the government that the mandatory closure of out-of-school programs will be extended through Sunday, Jan. 9, 2022.
This means that from Monday, December 20, 2021, through Friday, January 7, 2022, we will provide emergency care only to parents working in a crucial occupation and to children for whom customization is required due to special issues or a difficult home situation. The list of crucial professional groups can be found here.
Parents who need emergency care can request it through the Parent Portal:
- Please include the crucial professional group in which you and your partner, if any, are employed, name of the organization(s) and phone number(s) of that organization.
- Important: Please indicate clearly if your child needs to be picked up from school on school days from the (emergency) daycare or if you bring your child yourself.
The compensation scheme for parents with bso contracts goes back into effect:
- Parents who do not use emergency care are fully compensated for childcare costs (partly by the government and partly by Kinderopvang Huizen);
- Parents who use emergency care are reimbursed by the government for the portion of the care costs up to the maximum hourly tax rate. The portion of the hourly rate above this compensation from the government, the parent pays as a fee for emergency care.
